Frontlines of Freedom is hosted by Lt. Col. Denny Gillem, U.S. Army (Retired), a highly decorated military leader. After graduating from West Point, Colonel Gillem served 22 years in the Army, first as an Airborne Ranger with two tours in Vietnam. He was awarded two Purple Hearts and seven awards for valor. Gillem also served as a Mideast War Planner at MacDill AFB.

Veterans are taking their own lives on VA hospital campuses, a desperate form of protest against a system that they feel hasn’t helped them. 19 suicides occurred on VA campuses from October 2017 to November 2018, seven of them in parking lots, according to the Department of Veterans Affairs.
