I never served in our military but I have so much respect and admiration for those people that did put on the uniform and serve our nation. And that is why I decided to become part of the HelpVet organization. If this is a way I could give back to those that served our country with honor and distinction, it is my privilege to do so.
I am a “recovering Financial Planner”. I was fully licensed years ago so I could work with and support seniors and retirees with their financial challenges and plans. People ask me “how does a Mechanical Engineer become a banker and finance expert?”. My answer is, the math still works.
I made the move into finance because I discovered it allowed me the privilege to serve people in a very personal and intimate way, with their treasure and money. A very personal area of life indeed.
And within the world of finance, I found a very specific path to follow, Reverse Mortgage. In my 20+ years of working exclusively in Reverse, I still love the work I do and only wish that it wasn’t the unfamiliar financial tool it is. The loan is mostly misunderstood and that is indeed unfortunate, because it is a remarkable strategy that can be a powerful missing piece of the retirement planning puzzle, but so many people (and Financial Planners, CPA’s and Estate Attorneys) aren’t aware of how the loan works. So they may not consider it for their clients.
And as a follower of my Lord Jesus Christ, my work is also a ministry as it permits me to serve others with knowledge and wisdom about how they can be good stewards of what the Lord has blessed them with.
I’m not going to try to explain how the loan works in this space. But I invite you to contact me so we can look and discover together how this financial option and strategy could move the needle in meaningful and powerful way for your retirement plan.
God bless you.
Reverse Mortgage Loan Programs
Most seniors and retirees may not have considered that they do not retire on the size of their portfolio or retirement account, but rather they retire on monthly income. Regular, dependable income is King when it comes to having a solid and secure retirement.
And one of the best ways to increase monthly income is to tap into a mostly ignored asset, home equity. Whether a senior permanently eliminates an existing mortgage payment or they get tax-free access to a portion of their home equity, a Reverse Mortgage can be a very suitable and remarkable part of their retirement planning strategy.
Reverse Mortgage loan programs are highly regulated and specifically designed to fit into the retirement planning puzzle. These loans can move the needle on the retirement “cash flow” plan and provide a revenue source that can be used to fund many important needs and purposes, from helping to pay for in-home care, paying down debt, covering home remodel and repair projects, helping family members with education costs, making tax deductible donations, and even funding that dream vacation.
I have worked exclusively in Reverse Mortgage for 20+ years and my work is indeed a privilege for me. I frequently bring financial options and solutions to our clients that they were not even aware they had access to.
If you would like to explore how a Reverse Mortgage could be the missing piece of your retirement puzzle, please give me a call so we can discover together how the Reverse Mortgage may be part of a more secure financial future.
Proud Military Supporter
My appreciation for the military community is deeply personal. The photos above reflect that connection.
The first photo is my father, Alfred Trommler, who served in the U.S. Army during World War II, stationed in West Virginia. He passed away at age 47 from complications related to diabetes, which he developed while in the Army. Although our relationship was strained and I didn’t have the chance to know him well, I’ve grown to deeply respect his service and the sacrifices he made.
The next photo shows the B-24 Bolivar air crew, which included my uncle, First Lieutenant Donald Trautner, pictured in the back row, far left. He successfully completed 30 missions in the Pacific, a remarkable accomplishment given the high casualty rates among air crews during the war. Like many veterans, he spoke little about his time in the Air Force, but his courage and dedication were evident. After the war, he lived in Florida, continued flying small private aircraft, and explored the Gulf States.
These photos honor the memory of my father and uncle and serve as a personal reminder of the sacrifice, discipline, and quiet strength of those who serve our nation.
