A Little about Me

I have experience working with clients in the areas of Elder Law, Estate Planning, Probate, Trust Administration, Veterans’ Benefits, Real Estate, Tax Law, and Business Law.
I was born and raised in Coshocton County. Upon graduating from River View High School, I attended Shawnee State University (“SSU”) where I was a two-time Captain of the Golf Team and obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. During my junior year I enlisted with the Ohio Army National Guard. Upon graduation from SSU, I volunteered for a one year deployment to Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan for Air Defense Artillery.
Upon arriving home from Afghanistan I obtained my Juris Doctorate from the University of Dayton School of Law completing the program in 2 years. During this time I was the President of the Veteran and Military Advocacy Group and involved in the Veteran Treatment Court.
Upon graduation I worked in the areas of Elder law, Estate Planning, Probate, Trust Administration, and Veterans’ Benefits. It was during this time, working and assisting friends and family here in Coshocton, that I realized there was a lack of attorneys with the proper tools to assist individuals in these particular areas of law. That is when I made the decision to move back home and open my practice here in Coshocton County.
When I am not working you can find me spending time with my family, who I have featured throughout my website. This includes my girlfriend, Ashleigh, and our son, Rhys.
Proud Veteran Supporter
As a veteran myself it was very important to me when I pursued a legal education that I be able to give back to the veteran community. I am a third generation veteran having a grandfather who served in the Navy and my father in the Marine Corp. Serving my country has always been in the cards for me and I am proud and thankful to have had the opportunity to do so. With that said I also understand that the battles that veterans face do not end when they arrive home. In many situations they face more challenges as they age than they did when they were actively serving. That is why here at Bechtol Law we are committed to assisting veterans with their VA needs.
