The priceless freedom we experience in the USA is so precious to me, and I will always be grateful to the men and women in the military who bought that freedom with their blood and continue to bring us freedom and safety. My father always regretted not being able to serve for health reasons, but my brother served during Vietnam, my uncles and grandfathers served, and I have a son who is currently serving in Fort Greely with Missile Defense. I have lived in the mid-Willamette Valley since 1969, love my Oregon, and treasure my local history. My husband and I have six children and 11 grandchildren.
