Matt earned his California Department of Real Estate license back in 2000. Knowledge is power, and with that in mind, Matt did not immediately become a full time REALTOR®. He wanted to gain valuable experience and know-how first. He worked as an employee in a real estate company wearing many different hats including receptionist, working in their relocation department and with inventory properties, managerial review of contracts and files, and accounting. His most important role was that of a Real Estate Transaction Coordinator guiding buyers, sellers, and other agents through the sales process. In the decade since then, Matt has had the privilege of helping over 2,500 families reach their goals and dreams. It has been an amazing journey which has brought Matt a wealth of experience in many different types of real estate transactions and negotiations. Matt is a driven person who thrives on having happy clients and he is passionate about helping others achieve their dreams and goals through sharing his extensive knowledge and experience in real estate.

Matt O’Brien was everything we were looking for in a realtor: honest, responsive, kind, knowledgeable, connected, funny, and great with other agents. We were first-time homebuyers and he coached us through every step and negotiated for us when we missed the cues. We had so much fun exploring creative renovation ideas with him as we walked through homes. Matt’s support ensured that we never felt like we were doing it alone. Matt was a true partner in our home-buying process. With his help, and fantastic sense of humor, we were able to breeze through.
