Mary Nielsen is a leading real estate broker in San Antonio and owner of Perfect Home Realty. Mary’s mission is to protect clients and provide concierge level experience be combining a servant’s heart with expert guidance and fiscal stewardship. Her real estate experience started as a young child working with her father, a real estate agent and investor. She settled in San Antonio long term in 2011 and entered sales full time in 2013.
Mary has deep ties to the military, first as a civil servant AF Guidance Counselor, then as a 20-year military spouse (16 while active duty). She spent over 7 years serving on the boards of Officers’ Spouses’ Clubs across 4 duty stations. With 8 moves around the country with two small children, she has a particular passion for helping families in need of relocation. Mary has helped 80+ families with $14 million in sales.
Mary holds the Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR), Counsel of Residential Specialist (CRS), Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI), Military Relocation Professional (MRP), and San Antonio Historic Home Specialist (HHS) titles. Additionally, she holds Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), Master of Arts (MA) in counseling, and Master of Engineering Science (MES) in Computer Science degrees. Mary serves on the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) committee and task force, REALTOR® Image & Community Outreach committee and is a graduate of the exclusive 2019 Texas Realtor Leadership Program.
Mary also has extensive professional and personally investment experience. She has invested in real estate since 1997. She has built a multi-million-dollar personal rental portfolio of over $2 million in value and is partnered in two apartment complexes totaling 417 units.
She is a regular volunteer with Texas Ramp Project, Animal Defense League, Seton Home and Haven for Hope. Additionally, Mary has opened her heart and home by hosting a yearlong foreign exchange student. Client education & consistent communication are cornerstone to her business.
