Very helpful, knowledgeable
Born and raised in Chihuahua, Mexico, my family never talked much about money. While we weren’t struggling, I knew my parents weren’t putting away as much for the future as they should have been. Growing up, I saw people all around who struggled with saving – just like my parents. This made me realize that there was a way I could help people prepare for a better future of financial freedom.
While I moved to Texas in pursuit of a degree in international marketing, I found my home in the personal financial planning program at Texas Tech University. This program showed me how to channel my passion for helping others into offering education, counseling and tailored financial advice that can be used to make a difference in someone’s financial life.
I’ve been working in the financial services industry since 2008, creating personalized financial plans for families and retirement benefit plans for corporations in the Houston area.
On a military note, my dad served in the air force right out of high school in 1956. He wanted to become a pilot, but he was good at fixing things that he was never given the opportunity. When he completed his service almost 5 years later, he left to seek his commercial pilot license. While stationed in Iceland for a year as a AC&W Radar Rpmn Crs, he used to tell me how he fixed the radar and worked with computers that were as large as a big room.
I believe that part of my organizational and planning skill came from my dad being in the air force.
