Since entering the financial services industry in 1976, Austin has built a clientele that consists of individuals, businesses, retirement plans and foundations. Austin places emphasis on diversification in an attempt to reduce risk and potentially increase return and works closely with each client to develop a personalized portfolio within the framework of his clients’ risk tolerance.
Austin’s mission is to guide his clients in the stewardship of that scarcest resource of all: capital.
In the investment planning process he seeks to design (or redesign) portfolios to obtain an optimal balance between risk and reward, he diversifies your exposure to various asset classes in order to, hopefully, align your portfolio on an optimal (theoretical) efficient frontier*.
This process is based, in part, upon the works of Nobel Laureates Harry Markowitz, Merton Miller and William Sharpe. Austin also invests globally, in proportions which more closely mirror the world’s capital markets. Where appropriate, he also uses derivatives and alternative investments*.
Austin’s value proposition is simple: over four decades of experience combined with independence, integrity, leading-edge tools, and knowledge means Austin can help clients do more than just, “Diversify and Pray”™.
