John C. Halley

John C. Halley IV and his wife Tammy live in Greensboro, NC. They enjoy spending time with their children, Eli, Brooke, and Wesley.

As the longtime CFO of a manufacturing company, John saw firsthand the difficulties that arise when not enough estate and retirement planning have been done when his CEO died suddenly! This single event changed the course of John’s life and resulted in his entry into financial services in 2008. John has found a love for solving these problems with his clients and developing the trust and friendships that accompany the process.

John joined Orion Financial in 2011. As an Investment Advisor and Financial Planner, he helps clients plan for retirement and the challenges that accompany it. John has 32 years of experience as a Financial Professional. He has completed the following industry examinations: FINRA Series 6, 63, 65 and is an affiliate of Centaurus Financial, Inc a Registered Investment Advisor.

John graduated from West Virginia University in May of 1988 with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.  He continued at WVU to receive the degree of Master of Business Administration in August of 1989.

John enjoys outdoor activities such as Golf, Skiing and Mountain Bike riding.  He plays Ice Hockey twice a week in a men’s league, and his favorite time is time spent with his family at their beach house in Holden Beach, North Carolina.
