I created The Williamson Firm to help families by providing the guidance and support they need to create an estate plan that protects their children, safeguards their wealth and helps them pass on their intellectual, spiritual and human gifts in addition to their tangible possessions.
Our approach is perhaps different that of many firms. We don’t bill by the hour–everything we do is billed as a flat fee, agreed to in advance so you’ll never be surprised. We will work with you to help you choose the planning level that makes most sense for you and your family, but the choice will always be up to you. We will avoid the use of legal jargon and explain things to you in plain English because having a plan you don’t understand is not much better than having no plan at all. We will work very hard to explain things in a way that makes sense, and make sure you understand how your plan works when you really need it. Finally, we understand that life happens so we want to create a long-term relationship with you and your family. We offer a free plan review every three years to make sure that your plan stays up-to-date and that it really works when you need it.
I understand the needs of service members, veterans and their families. I am a veteran of the US Army and Florida Army National Guard, serving as an M1 Abrams armor crewman and later as a cavalry scout. My father-in-law retired after serving thirty years with the Florida Air National Guard, and my son-in-law is a First Lieutenant with the 82nd Airborne Division.
I have a Bachelor’s Degree in History from the University of North Florida and a Law Degree from the University of Florida. On a personal note, I am married with three kids, a huge sports fan and I love to travel.
