I have realized how I wanted to provide a more Personalized service so I can help my local community the way I would want someone to help me if I did not know where to turn.

Throughout my life, I have volunteered in the community, starting very young, visiting seniors in what we used to call convalescent homes. At the age of 12, I started to volunteer as a candy striper at the local hospital until my early 20’s. My grandparents also lived with my mother and I. I helped take care of them through their golden years. I have also enjoyed volunteering with P. A. W. S.; Pets are Wonderful Support, which is taking pets to visit the seniors in Assisted Living communities and skilled nursing homes. I facilitated for Alzheimer’s support group and volunteered for the Alzheimer’s Orange County Chapter. Volunteered with Alzheimer’s Family Services with their yearly fundraisers. I am a member of the Tustin Area Women’s Club and help with Smile Makers, getting gifts for seniors that have absolutely no one.

I grew up in Tustin, California, and attended St. Jeanne de Lestonnac School and on to Mater Dei High School. After graduating from high school, I graduated from Cal State University Fullerton, where I have a Liberal Studies degree with a Health Science emphasis. I also have my certificate in Gerontology from USC Davis School of Gerontology. I have my RCFE (Residential Care For the Elderly) Administrators license by the Department of Social Services Community Care Licensing I reside in Huntington Beach with my supportive husband and my cat Tony G.

I had to find a place quickly as my mom was being released from a skilled nursing facility and could no longer live on her own. I was referred to Cathy and she found me a place that could accommodate my mom within the short time frame I needed and could handle her diabetic needs as well. I was really happy with her quick response and I felt like I was a priority client for her. She guided me through the process which made the whole experience less stressful. As my mom got better, I contacted Cathy a second time. This time she helped me find a board & care in my neighborhood that could handle my mom’s diabetic needs. She contacted the facilities, talked to me about each facility and followed up with me after each visit.
