Through my experience as a real estate agent I have found that being an agent is so much more than buying or selling a home. It is about forming relationships where my clients get to know and trust me. They rely on me to keep their best interest above all else. This is a huge step and can often be a very stressful time but knowing someone is only a phone call or text away that will answer any questions makes the process much smoother. Communication is a key factor in every transaction!
In my market, many people are moving into the area for the first time or buying a second home with plans of retirement and the dynamics of the Western North Carolina Mountains are very different- some areas have high mountains, and in other areas the mountains are lower. We have lakes, rivers, creeks, and streams to enjoy, and then we have the question: To be on the top of a mountain, in the valley or somewhere in between?
Keeping all of that in mind I approach things slightly different than most agents. From the first contact, I try to find out what my clients are looking for and then once the hunt is on, sometimes things may have to shift a bit. I have discovered that my clients appreciate that I have knowledge of not only Asheville but all of the counties surrounding Asheville and I am willing to travel with them to different areas. I often hear the frustration in their voice when they think they need to change agents just because they are going to a city 30 minutes away. It all goes back to building that relationship and trust, who wants to start over once that has been built?
I also enjoy the process with my clients from finding the perfect home to handing them the keys at the closing table and all the bumps in the road in between. I feel it is my job to stick with them from the beginning to the end.
A little background information:
I was born in raised in North Carolina and have lived (and sold homes) from the sea to the mountains. My husband of 23 years served in the US Army for 5 years, and we were lucky enough to live in Hawaii, New York, and Virginia during that time. We have 3 beautiful daughters, 19 year old twins who just finished their first year at WCU and a full of life 13 year old. We are also foster parents to many coming in and out of our home. We love to travel and are always open to some kind of wild adventure.
I feel as it is an honor to assist you with the selling or purchasing of your next home. Can’t wait to meet you!!
