My wife Rocio and I live in Timberlakes, a beautiful small mountain community outside Heber City Utah.
While attending WVU I became Fascinated with investments and finance. I began to live my passion working with a large Chicago firm for 3 years. I was then offered the opportunity to work with a well-known New York firm where I helped clients for the next 13 years.
In 2002 John Stolar, my business partner of now over 25 years, and I started Orion Financial. Our goal was and still is to manage risk and protect wealth by offering clients investment opportunities based on putting our client’s goals and objectives first.
I have spent most of my life and career in West Virginia and consider myself a true “mountaineer”. In 2018 I approached my business partner John about expanding to the West so we could be closer to our son Christopher who lives in Salt Lake City. John full heartedly and graciously agreed that we should do that. I began a new chapter in my career establishing our firm in Utah. I am forever grateful to all our staff for supporting us in this transition.
When away from the firm I enjoy spending time traveling with my wife of 30 years. I feel most at home in the mountains, especially fly fishing on a stream. I enjoy introducing the next generation to fly fishing as my son Christopher and I volunteer in the community recreation programs as fly-fishing instructors. I also enjoy snowmobiling and motorcycles as well as spending time with friends.
