Kathy is a native of Colorado Springs and has lived in the Denver Metro Area for 48 years.  She has been a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Residential for 24 years.  She knows the entire Metro area very well.

Kathy has been a part of Coldwell Banker’s relocation program for over 20 years and has helped many military personnel relocating to Colorado to find or sell their home.  She has a special affection for our military since she worked as a civilian for the Air Force for 12 years (eight years at the Air Force Academy and four years in Wiesbaden, Germany).

Kathy served as the 2005 President of the Denver Board of Realtors and was selected as the Board’s Realtor of the Year in 2010.  She served on the Board of Directors of the Colorado Association of Realtors for nine years and a Chair of many committees in both the local and State organizations, including Professional Standards, Government Affairs, and Issues Mobilization.

In addition to her past career as a civilian employee for the Air Force, she became a Registered Nurse in 1974 and worked in the Coronary Care Unit and then in the Planning Department of St. Anthony’s Central Hospital and was the hospital’s Lobbyist for four years before she began her own lobbying career which totaled 24 years.  She was also the Executive Director for a medical association for four years during that time.

Kathy has served in leadership positions on numerous community boards such as the American Cancer Society, Arapahoe Mental Health Center, and her homeowner associations.  She is active in her church and a choir member.  She has served as a Mentor in the Making Choices Program for 17 years, a program which teaches offenders at the Denver Women’s Correctional Facility to assess situations and act and think in a logical fashion.  Graduates of the program maintain an 8% vs. 59% recidivism rate.

Education Designations, and Awards:

Kathy holds the Realtor designations of Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) and Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI), which require hundreds of hours of continuing education.  Less than 5% of all Realtors hold the CRS designation.  She has also earned a B.S. in Nursing, a B.A. in Psychology, and a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Colorado.  Kathy has qualified several times in the Coldwell Banker Agent Awards for production in the Silver and Diamond International Societies.  She has also been named as a Five Star Realtor by 5280 Magazine several times.
