Irma Martinez is a first-generation Mexican-American (mother’s side) and the only female child from the family of 10 brothers and sisters (father’s side) who is a veteran and has earned an MBA. Irma’s father is one of ten first-generation Mexican-American brothers and sisters born in San Antonio, Texas. Notably, her father and 4 brothers served in the military: four during WWII and one during the Korean war.
Becoming a realtor® is Irma’s 5th career. Other professions include: 1) secretary/office manager, 2) community college instructor, 3) Navy reservist, and 4) human resource professional (both domestic and international) for IBM (retired in 2010). As a bilingual (English/Spanish) real estate consultant, she is passionate about understanding the needs of the client and delivering customized real estate solutions. Irma believes there are 3 winners in every real estate transaction: 1) CLIENT centric; 2) CHARITY (10% of all commissions are donated to local charities), and 3) CONSULTANT (provides expert professional advice regarding each real estate transaction).
Irma has a strong belief in lifelong learning. Along with a Master’s in Business Administration, she has continued to focus on her education by earning 12 real estate certifications/designations. They include serving military, senior, international, and low-income clients with negotiations, staging, new construction, affordability and luxury needs.
Irma is a graduate of the Hispanic Austin Leadership, the Leadership Austin, and the Hays County Citizens Sheriff’s Academy. She is an experienced Board member having served on 4 boards and is a member of the Hays County Community Emergency Response Team (CERT).
