Greetings, my name is Cathy Balcar, and I have been a realtor since 1989. I started my career with a local firm in Baltimore, Maryland, O’Connor, Piper and Flynn. I was rookie of the year in 1990! I stayed with that organization until 1997. At that time, I joined Re/Max organization. I was ranked in the top 10% nationally for nine years. Further, I was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2005. The following year I obtained my broker’s license and I decided to open my own firm. After interviewing many companies, I decided to open an Exit office. I was convinced that Exits structure offered new avenues for agents to make residual income. Opening a Real Estate company in 2006 led us into the most devastating tailspin in the real estate market. We eventually sold our business and worked for the new owner. I left that organization in 2017 and joined Cummings and Company Realtors.
Since joining Cummings I have remained a peak performer. I have sold well over 1000 homes in my 31-year career. My license allows me to practice Real Estate anywhere in the state of Maryland.

On a personal note, I attended Catholic school my whole life. And you think drill sergeants are tough. The nuns wrote their handbooks. I met my husband at the ripe old age of fifteen and 53 years we are still going strong. God gave us two wonderful children and five grandchildren. So, you know I’m going to work hard for you. At the age of 50 I entered the seminary and now perform marriages and speak at Christian woman retreats. I love to spend time with my family. Yes, I’m that grandmother that gets thrown off the soccer field. For the past 12 years in the fall I collect Coats for Kids, just this year we distributed 1000 coats to needy children and their families. I really love my job and I would love to be able to make your dreams come true or help you to write the next chapter of your life.
